My life often feels like a game of drunken Twister. All twisted up. And that’s why alignment is so powerful and important. As a result, it’s crucial to know the elements that are going to bring alignment into your life. When you can operate from that place of balance, magical things will happen. So in this post, we’re exploring 7 steps to realignment. Keep reading to learn more.

1. Focus

Life is all about priorities. You have to prioritize the things that matter most. You can have it all, but all at the same time. Where your focus goes, your energy flows. So, you need to be able to dial in on the things that matter and give them your full time and attention. At the same time, you need to ignore everything else that doesn’t have that high-level priority in your life.

2. Decompress

Changing the environment does not change your mindset. You need to decompress. I know a lot of people who go to Mexico for vacation, but come back even more stressed. Why? Because even though they changed their environment, they haven’t truly decompressed. You need to make time to unwind, let go, and decompress.

3. Rejuvenate

When you rejuvenate, you are unbelievably strong. So, the question is, what kind of rejuvenation do you need in your life? Do you need to take a cold shower to reinvigorate yourself? Or maybe you need to do the opposite and warm up by exercising or moving your body. It will be different for everyone. The idea is to find what works best for you.

4. Strategize

Focus leads to decompression, which then leads to rejuvenation, which then leads to strategy. All of these elements feed into each other. When you’re in the right headspace (by following the previous steps), you’ll be ready to strategize. And strategy is what allows you to come up with unique ideas to realign yourself and aim at your goals.

5. Execute

You need to know how to execute to realign yourself. Why? Because action trumps everything. The best strategy with no action will still lead to stagnation. A bad strategy with relentless execution helps you to see what’s working and what’s not so that you can improve and eventually have a good strategy with execution. See how that works?

6. Embrace

You can follow everything in this list to a T, but still have that nagging little (pardon my language) bitch voice tell you that you’re not good enough. That voice can really impact your effectiveness. You know what that voice is? Imposter syndrome. And here’s what you need to embrace to overcome it: The idea of going ALL IN. Don’t give in for one second to imposter syndrome.

7. Align

Now, when I talk about alignment, I’m talking about the team. Get closer to the tribe in your life that is going to facilitate and support your growth. Find the people who are going where you want to go. Then, connect with and get close to them. That’s what’s going to skyrocket your career and life faster than anything else.
