Your words hold power. In fact, a Bible phrase says, “Life and death is in the power of your tongue.” Meaning that what you say can either build or destroy. It’s all in how you use the power you’ve been given with your words. This is especially important as an entrepreneur. There are so many ups and downs, highs and lows, that if you aren’t careful with your internal dialogue, you can easily get swallowed up in your entrepreneurial journey.

The solution is to monitor your self-talk with mantras—more specifically, a flourishing mantra that keeps you focused on progress, encourages your development, and helps you commit to lasting change. In this post, we’ll cover 7 easy ways you can create your own flourishing mantra so that you can accomplish all your business and entrepreneurial goals! Keep reading to learn more.

1. Pick a Focus

Ensure that your Flourishing Entrepreneur Mantra is specific. It must focus on and be geared toward a particular pain point your business is currently facing. Random, feel-good mantras won’t be as effective as deliberately directed mantras that hit on a certain challenge you’re struggling with. Here are a few examples to spark your inspiration:

  • My team and I can handle difficult clients with ease and grace
  • Our products and services help our market overcome their most pressing issues
  • Our revenue stream is an overflowing river because of our ability to serve
  • We are constantly attracting new, high-tickets clients and customers to our brand

By focusing your mantras toward a pain point or a pleasurable outcome you want for your business, you create an internal dialogue that fixates your mind on your goals.

2. Paint a Clear Picture

Visualization is a powerful tool that can help you meet your business objectives. Some of the world’s most successful people use visualization. Elite athletes, CEOs, famous actors, entertainers, etc., use this simple yet effective tactic to harness the power of their minds and achieve their goals. The more you see, the more you believe. And then, the more you believe, the more likely it is to appear in your reality.

So, paint a clear picture in your mind of the new reality you want to attract. Imagine it in vivid detail. And begin to see yourself already experiencing what it would be like to have this kind of business.

3. Program for Performance

Healthy programming facilitates high performance—not the other way around. You must first program your mind to set high performance as the new standard in your life. Here are a few proven tactics that can help you do that:

  • Meditation
  • Affirmations
  • Visualization
  • Willpower and self-discipline
  • Replacing limiting beliefs with empowering beliefs
  • Setting and accomplishing goals

Unhealthy programming will hinder your flourishing journey at every step. As a result, you have to shift your internal beliefs to align with your goals and ambitions. This is how you create lasting change and step into the flourishing life you deserve.

4. Positive Proclamation

It’s important to state your Thriving Mantra in the positive. Your wording is essential; too often, people fail at this because their phraseology is not formatted in a positive affirmation. So, to make the most of your Thriving Entrepreneur Mantra, ensure that you’re speaking positivity over your life and business.

5. Personalize

Ensure that you customize your mantra so that it’s tailored to your unique situation. This allows you to truly own what you’re saying. So, start each mantra with the words “I” or “My.” As innocuous as these details may seem, they are actually powerful tactics that help you claim what you’re speaking over your life.

Here are a few examples:

  • I have abundance flowing through my life
  • My business is thriving because of my hard-working team
  • My mission keeps me focused every day
  • I am powerful, strong, and resilient in life and business

Moreover, using the word “I” or “My” at the beginning of your mantra personalizes the statement. As a result, you unconsciously begin to own it and accept the idea as your own. And that’s where the power of a Flourishing Mantra really begins to take hold.

6. Pare Down

Unnecessarily long mantras will stilt your ability to repeat and remember them. As a result, make your Flourishing Entrepreneur Mantra short, concise, and to the point. You want it to be memorable and easily repeatable. Long-winded mantras will become confusing and annoying to repeat.

However, short mantras will often have a punchy rhythm to their cadence, making them fun to say silently or out loud. So, do your best to shorten your mantras as much as possible without sacrificing their meaning.

7. Persevere

Next comes the follow-through section: You have to persevere. Your new mantra will take a little time to seep into your consciousness, so you have to be patient and persistent as you continually repeat your mantras to yourself every day. You should repeat your mantras when you wake up, when you go to sleep, and as often as you can throughout the day.

You have to persevere. To do this, try to remember the ratio of 3:1. The concept is this: For people to flourish, they require a 3 to 1 ratio of positive to negative. In other words, for every negative piece of self-criticism, people need 3 positive pieces of encouragement (or positive affirmation) to counteract it.

Eventually, with enough time and repetition, the positive will far outweigh the negative. As a result, you’ll begin accepting the new affirmation as your truth. And that’s when the real magic starts to take place.

But the key is to persevere with your new mantras. They have to become a knit habit until they turn into an automatic response. When you reach that point, your mantra will take on a life of its own.

Conclusion

The thoughts, words, and mantras you continually repeat to yourself are a superpower. As a result, creating your own Flourishing Entrepreneur Mantra can be a game changer in your life and business if you can stick with it long enough to see its effects unfold. This is where having a community of like-minded individuals can be incredibly beneficial. As the old saying goes, “You are who you surround yourself with.”
